A gas stove is an excellent way to provide primary or supplemental heat to a room, along with a beautiful stove design and flame pattern! Gas stoves are much simpler to operate than a wood stove: you can either keep one connected to a thermostat or use a manual on/off switch. There aren't any logs to cut or store and gas is much more regulated and controllable than wood.  You can even add a blower, if you wish.
