Gas Burning

Efficiently heat 1,000 sq ft to 3,000 sq ft with Natural Gas or Liquid Propane Gas.

Gas fireplaces are available in many different forms such as decorative gas log systems or direct vent inserts, zero clearance fireplaces and freestanding stoves.  Most gas fireplaces and stoves can be operated thermostatically or by a battery-powered remote or wall control and do not require electricity to function.  Highly efficient direct vent units are great for use as a primary heat source while decorative gas log systems offer outstanding aesthetics and ambiance.

Gas Logs

If you are interested in converting your wood burning fireplace to gas, and are not looking to supplement your existing heating system, the ambiance of a gas log may be the right choice for you.

The decorative gas logs offered by Fine Home Details provide beautiful flames and realistic log arrangements. Gas logs are available in different sizes, and operated by manual or remote control. Our staff can advise you on finding the most suitable gas log for your fireplace.

With reliable performance and a realistic burn, your guests will be hard pressed to distinguish it from real wood.

Direct Vent Gas Inserts

If you have an existing wood burning fireplace and you would like a more efficient heat source without the hassle or mess of wood, consider a direct vent gas insert.  The term "direct-vent" refers to an appliance that uses only outside air for combustion and vents all exhaust directly back outside.  The appliance itself is sealed off from the room by a glass door that will remain closed while the unit is in use.  This type of appliance inserts directly into your existing masonry wood burning fireplace and uses a co linear pipe system, which is run through your existing chimney.

Most inserts feature blowers, accent lighting, and fully functioning remote controls with smart thermostat capabilities to heat your home to the desired temperature.

Zero Clearance Direct Vent Gas Fireplaces

Zero clearance fireplaces are self-contained fireboxes that also use a direct vent system.  Unlike inserts, zero clearance fireplaces do not require an existing masonry fireplace and can be installed in close proximity to combustible material, such as wood framing.  This type of appliance uses a coaxial pipe system which draws outside air in through an other layer of pipe and vents exhaust through an internal layer of the same pipe.  Minimal framing dimensions and flexible venting systems allow zero clearance fireplaces to be installed almost anywhere, and a variety of finish options  (faceplates, mesh doors, louvres, etc.) coordinate with any home design.
